HOW TO STOP A REAL KNIFE ATTACK
Hello everyone! In this article I would like to present you two points in order to make your knife defenses a success everytime.
When someone is attacking you with a knife you know only one thing: it won’t be just one attack.
If someone comes with a knife there are two possibilities: he can threat you (asking money or other) or he can attack you. If he is attacking you he is completely crazy and he will attack you several time, not only one. In this case you know ne thing: for the second attack he has to go back with his arm to attack you again. This is the focus point!
In Krav Maga there are some people that in front of a knife attack they try to make the block (with a 360° defense) and immediately to grab the hand but it is completely impossible to catch the hand because your opponent takes it back
So:
- Don’t try to grab the hand.
- Don’t make static defense.
But:
- Do never try to catch the hand.
- Apply continuous frontal pressure, with all your body!
You have to make the defense but don’t try to grab the arm of your opponent and put a frontal pressure on him to control him. In that way you will be sure to control your attacker.
You have to push his arm until his articulation is at the maximum extension: in this position your attacker can’t do a second attack.
Now you can grab his arm and control him finishing with an armlock, punches, knee, elbow…
